Program Coordinators

Gustavo Chavez stepped into the role of Program Coordinator in July 2014, previously working as the Academic Personnel Manager since 1996. His vital role now involves the coordination of housestaff, medical students, and applicants. Friendly, loyal, and hard-working, he continues to be a welcome presence in the Department of Medicine and the residency program.

Esther arrived at Olive View in 2018 and has been assisting in the Department of Medicine for the past three years. You will find her busy coordinating the interview days, noon conference, didactics in the Med Ed track, QI projects, and resident feedback meetings. Outside of work, Esther loves movies and learning about science and technology. Family and friends mean a lot to her as well, and she is enjoying reconnecting with them during the post-pandemic period over a good lunch or dinner.

Norman Belisle is a valuable member of our management team. He has worked on the Medicine Wards for a considerable number of years, and knows the hospital very well. He was recruited to be a part of the management team in June of 2005. His operational knowledge and familiarity with housestaff are tremendous assets to the program. Norman Belisle is intimately involved with the daily activities of the program, and he also assists the Program Director and Program Manager. His extraordinary reputation within Olive View-UCLA Medical Center has provided our team with a confident liaison between the program and other hospital staff and programs.
