Background:
Dr. Phillis Wu is a board-certified hematologist and oncologist who treats patients with benign and malignant hematologic conditions as well as solid tumors. Her areas of interest include hematology and general oncology with a focus on gynecology/oncology.

Dr. Wu received her medical degree from UCSD School of Medicine where she did a 4th year away rotation at Olive View-UCLA Medical Center. This experience inspired her to come to Olive View to complete her Internal Medicine training where she also served as a Chief Resident. She subsequently completed Hematology/Oncology fellowship at the combined Olive View-UCLA/Cedars Sinai MC/Kaiser Los Angeles MC Program. She has been on faculty at Olive View since 2013 and served as Associate Program Director for 5 years before taking over as Program Director for the fellowship program. She is also the core medical oncology faculty liaison for the UCLA Gynecology/Oncology Fellowship Program and works closely with their fellows.

Dr. Wu has a passion for medical education and mentoring the next generation of hematologist/oncologists while also supporting the role of women in medicine through local AMWA chapter.
